Dr. K’s skin resurfacing program takes skin renewal to the next level without synthetic acids. The treatment works from the outside in, combining a new natural source of AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) and post-biotics for maximum skin rejuvenation! This supports and protects the skin from inflammation and reducing all signs of stressed or sensitive skin. In addition, Dr. K is the first skin improvement line to use postbiotics and enzymes that actively stimulates rapid cell renewal in the various skin layers, while minimizing reactions and downtime, as well as that it reduces inflammatory reactions in the skin.
The Dr. K Postbiotic Resurfacing Enzymatic Peel was developed as a dermatological skin renewal system that successfully addresses all the signs of sensitive skin, premature skin aging, uneven complexion, pigmentation, acne, dull complexion and chronic redness.
If we want to know exactly how this treatment works, it is important to first list the differences between skin resurfacing and skin rejuvenation.
Skin resurfacing stimulates cell renewal by removing the outer layer of our skin at a rate that does not disturb the balance of our skin microbiome. As a result, inflammatory reactions and skin damage are minimized. Skin rejuvenation, on the other hand, actively promotes cell renewal through light exfoliation, but can also be achieved through skin care products or treatments.
The Dr. K skin resurfacing program achieves skin rejuvenation from the outside in and has an effect in the deeper layers of skin. The treatment itself consists of 3 products:
- Advanced Exfo Cleanser
- Postbiotic Resurfacing Enzymatic Peel
- Repair & Protect Postbiotic Gel
The Advanced Exfo Cleanser contains an AHA combination of lactic acid and glycolic acid to improve skin tone, make pores less visible and remove dead skin cells. It also contains HeptaPeptide 4, a vitamin cocktail and pomegranate enzymes. The Postbiotic resurfacing Enzymatic Peel contains 5 innovative ingredients: Lactic acid, Acetic acid, Microcitrus Australasica fruit extract, Mucor Miehei extract and Bacillus Coagulans MTC 5856. These work together in synergy for maximum results, and each ingredient acts on a different layer of skin and has its own specific function. Lactic acid promotes exfoliation and moisturizes the skin at the same time. Acetic acid regulates sebum production, stimulates cell renewal and acts as a powerful antioxidant. Mitrocitrus Australasica fruit extract – a whole mouthful of difficult words – is a new form of AHA that stimulates the exfoliation process. Bacillus Coagulans MTCC 5856 is a probiotic metabolite and provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity and has anti-collagenase (anti collagen breakdown), anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and UV-protective benefits.
Even after 1 treatment, great results can be achieved. In the left picture we see a client with hyperpigmentation. The right photo is the result achieved after just one treatment with the Dr. K Postbiotic Resurfacing Enzymatic Peel.
This photo was achieved with home use products only, obviously if we applied a treatment here there would be even more results. There are two weeks between the first and second photo and the client has been using the Advanced Exfo cleanser, Repair & Hydrate Hydrating Complex and the Repair & Purify Serum twice daily.
